PRESS RELEASE GENERAL LECTURE : “PORTFOLIO PERFORMANCE EVALUATION FROM AN INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR’S PERSPECTIVE”

On Saturday, November 23, 2024, the Management Study Program held a General Lecture themed “Portfolio Performance Evaluation from an Institutional Investor Perspective” at Modern Class UBM Tower which was attended by 34 student participants of the Serpong Campus Management Study Program. This General lecture was conducted to complement the knowledge and theories acquired in the classroom. The speaker for this General lecture was Mr. Wiratama Wu, B.A., M.Sc., CFA as an Investment Manager of Global Insurance Company, with moderator Mr. Ali Wardhana, S.E., M.B.A., CSA as a Lecturer of Management Study Program. The event began at 2:15 PM and was opened by the MC, Vinestasya, an active third-semester student. It commenced with the singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, and the UBM Mars song. The event continued with a welcoming speech was delivered by Dr. Ika Pratiwi Simbolon, S.E., M.M., the Secretary of the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia Serpong Campus. Before proceeding to the main session, the MC introduced the moderator, who then introduced the speaker.

The session continued with the presentation by Mr. Wiratama Wu, B.A., M.Sc., CFA as the speaker. He discussed how to select quality mutual funds and evaluate their performance. Additionally, he explained how to choose high-quality mutual funds and bonds from an institutional investor’s perspective. The enthusiasm of the 34 participants was evident as they attentively engaged with the material and posed several questions to Mr. Wiratama Wu, B.A., M.Sc., CFA during the Q&A session. Guided by the moderator, the Q&A session ran smoothly, with questions that were clear and easily understood, complemented by comprehensive answers from the speaker.

The event proceeded with the giving of Token of Appreciation to Mr. Wiratama Wu, B.A., M.Sc., CFA by Mr. Ali Wardhana, S.E., M.B.A., CSA and to Mr. Ali Wardhana, S.E., M.B.A., CSA by the XCM Student Association Representative, Cresia Dwiyanti Goutama as a form of appreciation for taking the time and willing to share knowledge which is an important component in this public lecture. The event ended with a group photo session and closing remarks by the MC.
