As a form of concrete contribution in improving the financial literacy of the young generation, Bunda Mulia University through the Management Study Program has held a community service activity called “ Basic Introduction to Investment for High School Students: Building Financial Awareness from a Young Age”. The event which took place on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11:00-12:00 WIB at UBM Tower was enthusiastically attended by 14 students of Tarakanita Gading Serpong High School.
This activity was presented interactively by Mr. Ali Wardhana as a Lecturer in the Management Study Program at Bunda Mulia University Serpong Campus, with Richelle as an active student as a companion. The material presented included the basic concepts of investment, the importance of early financial planning, and various investment instruments suitable for beginners, such as mutual funds, stocks and bonds. In addition, participants were also invited to understand the risks and benefits of investing, as well as smart financial management strategies.
In parallel to the presentation of the material, the event was also filled with question and answer sessions and interactive discussions, where students actively asked questions about the experience of investment practices and how to start with limited capital. This activity is part of Bunda Mulia University’s commitment in providing quality education through Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, especially in the field of community service. In the future, Bunda Mulia University plans to expand the reach of similar programs to more schools and communities, with the hope of continuing to contribute to community capacity building in various scientific fields.
