On Friday, November 22, 2024, the Accounting Study Program held a Performance-Based Budget Management Accounting Public Lecture with a speaker named Dr. Dolly Adolina Prameswari, S.E., M.M. This topic is very interesting for all groups related to Management Accounting and Public Sector Accounting. The conclusion of this seminar is that the Budget is very important in everyday life both in the private sector and in the public sector so that it is clear what the benefits of the results of the performance are.
The Bunda Mulia University Accounting Study Program was represented by two permanent lecturers who are also teachers in the field of management accounting and students, namely: Tandry Whittleliang Hakki, S.Ak., M.S.M., as moderator and MC, then Dr. Ririn Breliastiti, S.E., M.M., CSRS and students from semesters 5 and 3 even semester 1 attended the public lecture.
At the beginning of the event, this activity was opened by Tandry Whittleliang Hakki. Then continued with a material presentation session in this activity, presented by Dr. Dolly with the theme “Performance Based Budgeting”. In this session, Dr. Dolly presented the material and explained the differences in the budget that we know, namely zero-based budgeting with performance-based budgeting (Performance Based Budgeting), then from the presentation of the material there were students who asked whether VAT needed to be increased and decreased because if so, based on the material studied, VAT is income from the state. As a closing in the presentation session, Tandry gave a Token of Appreciation to Dr. Dolly and the last session was a group photo with students. One of the efforts to improve the ability of lecturers in teaching a course is to participate in public lecture activities. Through these activities, students can exchange insights and explore information from practitioners who are resource persons on the topics that the lecturers teach in lectures through the public lecture event. With the current topic that is currently updated, it can help an accounting lecturer and students to transfer knowledge as a facilitator in the field of accounting science.
