One of the processes that Master’s students in Communication Science at UBM must go through in order to obtain their degree is the colloquium session. This session is a scholarly conference organized by the program and is a required step for students in their journey towards completing their Final Project coursework (often referred to as a thesis). During this activity, students are asked to present the results of their work (academic papers/theses) to a panel of professors who serve as examiners. Ideally, under normal circumstances, the colloquium takes place in a closed room with a few attendees who are there to attentively listen to the shared knowledge or to simply support their peers who are tense due to challenging questions from the examiners.
In this event, students successfully completed their presentations. Additionally, they received feedback and suggestions from the examiners to ensure that the thesis defense in the upcoming semester runs smoothly without obstacles. The examiners present at the colloquium included Dr. Lasmery R.M Girsang, Dr. Muhamad Isnaini, Dr. Alfred P. Menayang, Dr. Fabianus Fensi, Dr. Ronald Silalahi, and Dr. Rewindinar.
