The event was successfully conducted by the Visual Communication Design and Communication Science Study Program of Bunda Mulia University, Serpong Campus. Louis Joseph facilitated the event, and it was attended by Shierly Everlin S.Ds., M.sn as the Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program and Moderator, Lilis Susilawaty S.E., M.M as the Academic Manager 1 of Serpong Campus, Supina, S.ST Par., MM as the Academic Manager III of Serpong Campus, Visual Communication Design and Communication Science students, and invited high school students.
The event featured a remarkable speaker, Hanung Bramantyo, the director of the film Satria Dewa: Gatotkaca, who shared his knowledge and experience related to the event theme. During the talk show session, Hanung Bramantyo said that not everyone has to be Quentin Tarantino, but it doesn’t mean we can’t become a director. He explained that a director is someone who has the ability to translate a script into a touching image. He also emphasized that a director has the ability to translate touching words into a tangible form, such as an image.
The event continued with a question-and-answer session, where one of the participants asked, “Is it the director’s job to visualize from a script? Are there any tips or suggestions for that?” Hanung Bramantyo answered that everything in the image or screen is intentionally placed and there are no unintentional elements.
At the end of the event, there was a token of appreciation given by Shierly Everlin S.Ds., M.sn as the Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program and Lilis Susilawaty S.E., M.M as the Academic Manager 1 of Serpong Campus, and a representative of Bunda Mulia University to Hanung Bramantyo as a thank you for sharing his knowledge with the Visual Communication Design and Communication Science students, and the invited high school students
