The Management Study Program and the Accounting Study Program of UBM Ancol Campus and Serpong Campus held a Community Service activity aimed at the employees of PT Mecosin Indonesia. This event was divided into 3 sessions with topics needed by the employees of PT Mecosin Indonesia. Below is the sequence of the 3 sessions:
Session on Friday, April 26, 2024: “How to turn stress into high productivity”
On April 26, 2024, the Management Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus began the series of Community Service activities with the theme “How to turn stress into high productivity.”
Stress is the body’s automatic response to any physical or mental demands placed on humans. Stress often occurs in employees in a company due to the targets and responsibilities assigned to them, which can lead to stress in performing their tasks and jobs. Stress levels are divided into 3 categories: low stress can lead to boredom, moderate stress can actually improve employee performance and efficiency, and high stress can cause unproductive anxiety. Stress triggers include situations, activities, and relationships that cause trauma to physical, emotional, or psychological conditions.
The event began with an opening by the MC and continued with remarks from PT Mecosin Indonesia. The speakers for this session included lecturers from the Management Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus: Mrs. Novita, SE., M.Si., Mrs. Dr. Siti Yasmina Zubaedah, BSIE., MSIE., Mr. Andreas Wijaya, SE., MM., Mrs. Tannia, SE., MM., Mr. Dr. Chandra Wibowo Widhianto, SE., MM., Lelly Christin, SE., MM., Yenli Megawati, SE., MM., Mrs. Janny Rowena, SE., MM., Mrs. Sophia Reni Susilo, SE., MM., and active students from the Management Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus: Valentine Febrias Selasih and Sylvia. The event went smoothly, and the enthusiasm of the participants was evident from the active Q&A session. The session ended with a group photo.
Session on May 28, 2024: Assessing Company Performance from a Financial Perspective
On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the Accounting Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus participated in a Community Service activity in collaboration with PT Mecosin Indonesia for training on the theme “Assessing Company Performance from a Financial Perspective.” The activity was led by Mrs. Devica Pratiwi, S.E., M.Ak., CSRS, Mrs. Dr. Ririn Breliastiti, S.E., M.M., CSRS, and Mrs. Merna, S.E., M.S.M. as lecturers from the Accounting Study Program, along with support from faculty members Mr. Wendy Salim Saputra, S.E., M.Ak, Mr. Yosua Samuel Ramli, S.E., Ak., MM., MBA, and Mr. Andy Yulius, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CPA, as well as assistance from active students Graciella Kimberly and Elbert Areliano from the Accounting Program, Class of 2023.
The session began with an opening by Graciella as the MC, followed by remarks from a representative of PT Mecosin Indonesia. The material presentation then started, with Mrs. Devica, the first speaker, explaining Financial Statements, Vertical Analysis, and Horizontal Analysis. The second speaker, Mrs. Ririn, explained Liquidity Ratio Analysis and Solvency Ratio Analysis. The final speaker, Mrs. Merna, presented Activity Ratio Analysis and Profitability Ratio Analysis. Participant engagement was visible during the Q&A session after the presentation. The training session concluded with a closing by Graciella as the MC and a group photo by Elbert Areliano.
Session on Tuesday, June 4, 2024: “How to deal with Financial Stress”
On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, the Management Study Program held a Community Service activity with the theme “How to deal with Financial Stress.” This event was conducted online, with 9 participants from PT Mecosin.
The event was met with enthusiasm from all participants. The session was held from 14:00 to 16:30. The Community Service activity was led by speakers Mr. Ali Wardhana, S.E., MBA., CSA, Mr. Chandra Hosen, S.E., M.M., M.T., who are lecturers at the Management Study Program, Serpong Campus, and Mrs. Kezia Josephine, S.E., M.Ak., a lecturer from the Accounting Study Program at Serpong Campus, along with Natasya Deswinta Puteri and Kevin, students from the Management Study Program at Serpong Campus.
The first speaker, Mr. Ali Wardhana, S.E., MBA., CSA, introduced the concept of financial stress and the potential consequences when it leads to financial difficulties. To address this, participants were taught the importance of creating a well-thought-out financial plan. The next speaker, Mrs. Kezia Josephine, S.E., M.Ak., discussed budgeting, tips and tricks to control finances, and provided budget illustrations. Through budgeting, participants could better prioritize their needs per period and avoid unnecessary expenses. The final speaker, Mr. Chandra Hosen, S.E., M.M., M.T., explained how to handle financial difficulties by communicating with creditors and close ones for both emotional and financial support, as well as seeking additional income through micro-investments and selling unused investments.
After the material presentation, the session continued with a Q&A. This activity is hoped to provide participants with practical knowledge and strategies to manage financial difficulties and prevent future financial challenges through well-planned financial management.
Thus concludes the series of Community Service activities at PT Mecosin Indonesia. It is hoped that the materials presented by the Management and Accounting Study Programs of UBM Ancol Campus and Serpong Campus will be beneficial to the employees of PT Mecosin Indonesia.
