In an effort to make a tangible contribution to society, a Community Service program themed “Implementing Marketing for Sustainable Business Using the Marketing Mix” was successfully held at SMA Kanaan, Tangerang City. This initiative was a collaboration between academics, students, and educational institutions, aimed at introducing modern marketing concepts to the younger generation.
The program was led by Budi Christanto, S.E., M.M., a lecturer from the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia, accompanied by student Stephen King. Attended by 20 students of SMA Kanaan, the session took place from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM in the school hall. Participants received in-depth material on marketing mix strategies, covering product, price, promotion, and distribution, along with practical applications for building sustainable businesses—concepts that have already been practiced by the students of SMA Kanaan.
During the session, participants were actively engaged in discussions and took part in simple simulations designed to help them understand how the marketing mix works in real-world contexts. This activity aimed to inspire students to prepare themselves for the challenges of the business world in the era of globalization.
As an implementation partner, SMA Kanaan Tangerang City expressed its appreciation for this initiative. In his remarks, the school principal highlighted that programs like these are highly relevant in equipping the younger generation with practical knowledge that supports their character development and skill-building.
This activity aligns with the university’s commitment to fulfilling the tri dharma of higher education, which encompasses education, research, and community service. With the enthusiastic participation of the students, this program is expected to serve as the starting point for broader collaborations in the future.
