On Monday, May 20, 2024, the Management Study Program at the Ancol Campus held a Guest Lecture themed “Challenges and Projections of Failures in the Implementation of Financial Technology.” This event was conducted onsite in the Premiere Room at Universitas Bunda Mulia from 1:30 PM to 3:10 PM WIB. At 1:30 PM, the event commenced with greetings from Vania Risyona and Richard Ng as the MCs who guided the proceedings. The event then continued with opening remarks from Mrs. Tannia, S.E., M.M., the Head of the Management Study Program at the Ancol Campus.
Following the opening remarks, the MCs introduced the background of the guest speaker, leading to the main session, which was a presentation by Mr. Kuseryansyah, the Executive Director of the Indonesian Joint Funding FinTech Association (AFPI) for the 2019-2023 period, who served as the speaker for this lecture. Mr. Kuseryansyah began his presentation by briefly introducing himself, followed by a question for the participants about the various applications or companies that fall under Financial Technology (FinTech). He then explained what FinTech is, including FinTech P2P Lending and various FinTech terminologies. Additionally, he discussed the trends and impacts of FinTech on the financial services sector, as well as the opportunities and challenges of FinTech P2P Lending development in Indonesia. He also elaborated on the projections of failures in FinTech implementation.
After the presentation, the event continued with a Q&A session between the speaker and the participants, facilitated by the MCs. This was followed by the presentation of a token of appreciation to Mr. Kuseryansyah by Mrs. Tannia, S.E., M.M., the Head of the Management Study Program at the Ancol Campus.
The event concluded with a group photo session, attendance verification, and completion of the final questionnaire. It is hoped that this guest lecture will enhance the knowledge and insights of the attending students.
