This event was organized by Universitas Bunda Mulia and was open to all generations. The event was attended by Lanang Diayudha, S.E., M.Evn Mgt., Tannia, SE., MM., Alexander Robert, BA., MSc., Yustinus Yuniafro, SS., MM., and Elkunny Dovir Siratan, S.Par., MM. The goal was to increase knowledge about how to be a person who does not commit reprehensible acts, such as judging or condemning others. In the event, Mrs. Oki explained the reasons why we often judge others, including: (1) instinctive reactions as a response to the environment, (2) habit, (3) ignorance that each person’s values and norms are different, (4) making us feel superior, and (5) to cover up our own shortcomings. The event was also attended by an active student from the Excellent Community of Management (XCM), namely Caliska Aldira Kusbiantoro.
Mrs. Oki also explained the harms of judging others, one of which is that it can damage relationships. In addition, she explained the difference between judgment and assessment. This distinction is important to explain how we can judge and view others in a good way, without hastily condemning them before understanding them from different perspectives. With the knowledge gained from this event, it is hoped that this event provides insights and inspiration for each individual to be wiser in judging and understanding others, as well as building more harmonious relationships. Let us commit to becoming better and more sensitive individuals toward differences. Thank you for your attention and participation, and see you at the next event.
