Financial Management and Basic Investment was the topic selected by the Management Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia for a community service activity for SMAK Saint John students during their campus tour at Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol. This activity was conducted onsite through an engaging and interactive presentation by Mr. Alexander Robert, BA., MSc., assisted by Gerald Oktavianus (12220072), a student from the Management Study Program.
The activity took place after SMAK Saint John students completed their campus tour and gathered in a classroom where Mr. Alexander Robert, BA., MSc. was already present. The event began with a self-introduction followed by an overview of the Management Study Program. After the introduction, a simple question about financial management, which served as the fundamental goal of this event, was posed. This was followed by explanations of the meaning, objectives, and components of financial management.
The session continued with an explanation of basic investment concepts, covering topics such as investment objectives, forms of investment, fundamental investment decisions, investment risks, and examples of various types of investments. Differences in risk levels among these examples were also discussed. The purpose of this explanation was to provide education and help students understand which investments they could begin based on their chosen risk profile and their understanding of the investments.
After the material presentation, a Q&A session was held with the students. The questions asked were closely related to the material, such as how to wisely choose good and proper investments and how to avoid fraudulent investments. The event concluded with a group photo session, followed by suggestions and feedback, which summarized that this community service activity was conducted effectively and was engaging for SMAK Saint John students.
