What Is Psychology?
Psychology is the science that studies human behavior and mental processes in relation to other individuals and society, utilizing scientific methods. Psychology can be applied in various settings, including health, child development, community, education, and the workplace.
You may be aware that in this era, public awareness of the importance of mental health is increasing. Therefore, there is a growing need for professionals with a high social spirit who can contribute to the development of this field.
The psychology program at UBM has been established since June 10, 2023, in accordance with the Higher Education Organization Decree No. 8872/D/T/K-111/2011. Through a curriculum designed to align with societal developments and partnerships established with various external institutions, this program has produced high-quality graduates.
Its graduates have been able to contribute to counseling work, social psychology, and community development.

Students will study the course “Introduction to Psychological Interventions,” which prepares them for pursuing professional education.
Concentration Program
The following specializations are chosen in the fifth semester of the Bachelor of Psychology program at UBM.

Students are equipped with counseling skills for mental health and the ability to identify psychological issues.

Industrial & Organizational Psychology
Students study psychology in the context of the workplace and gain skills in human resource development focused on well-being and mental health.

- Human Resources Practitioner: Works in HR, personnel management, training, research and development, and talent acquisition strategy.
- Counselor (Clinical Specialization): Expert in counseling, child and adolescent therapy, psychotherapy assistant, and psychologist assistant.
- Psychological Services Practitioner: Works in psychological service settings under supervision, as an assistant to psychologists.
- Psychologist Assistant: Supports psychotherapy for children and adults according to client needs under the supervision of a psychologist.
