Jakarta, October 9, 2026 – The Association of Indonesian Tourism Higher Education Institutions (HILDIKTIPARI) has scheduled the 2026 National Tourism Higher Education Forum with the theme “New Directions for Indonesian Tourism Graduate Competencies: Responding to Industry Transformation and Future Challenges.” The event, scheduled to take place at the Auditorium of the Trisakti Tourism Institute, Jakarta, is a strategic forum for tourism universities to discuss strengthening graduate competencies, curriculum development, and the readiness of educational institutions to face the changing needs of the tourism and hospitality industry.

Hildiktipari 2026 Activity Forum
This national forum highlights the importance of adapting the tourism higher education system to technological developments, service digitalization, changes in tourist behavior, and increasing standards of professionalism in the workplace. Universities are required to produce graduates who not only master academic knowledge but also possess practical skills, adaptability, creativity, and competitiveness that meet industry needs. One of the lecturers listed in the activity proposal is Dr. Antonius Rizki Krisnadi, S.ST.Par., MM.Par. Participation in this forum is part of an effort to strengthen academic insight and the development of tourism higher education, particularly in understanding the direction of graduate competency renewal and its relevance to study program curricula.
The forum featured two speakers who were scheduled to provide perspectives on competency development and learning innovation, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Era Purwanto, M.Eng., IPU., ASEAN.Eng. , Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic (PENS), and Dr. Laili Etika Rahmawati, S.Pd., M.Pd. , Head of Curriculum Development and Learning Innovation, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS).
The forum focused on strengthening the link between graduate competencies and the dynamics of the business and industrial worlds. Curriculum alignment is a crucial focus to ensure that higher education institutions produce professional, innovative, and adaptive tourism human resources who are ready to face future challenges. In addition to the national seminar and discussion, the forum’s agenda also included the launch of the Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) for Tourism Higher Education . This agenda is crucial in promoting a shared direction for competency development and providing a reference for universities in evaluating and refining their curricula according to the characteristics of their respective study programs. The event also included an information session on the latest developments from the Independent Tourism Accreditation Agency (LAMWISATA) . Through this session, participants are expected to gain a more comprehensive understanding of developments in the quality assurance and accreditation systems for tourism higher education. This information is crucial for supporting improvements in academic quality, study program governance, and institutional readiness to meet accreditation standards. The 2026 National Forum for Tourism Higher Education also serves as a platform to strengthen communication and collaborative networks among tourism higher education institutions in Indonesia. The exchange of knowledge and experience among participants is expected to foster collaboration in learning development, improve graduate quality, and strengthen relationships between universities and industry. Through this forum, tourism universities are expected to be more prepared to respond to industrial transformation through strengthening competency-based curricula, learning innovation, and continuous improvement of education quality. Alignment between higher education and the needs of the workforce is an important factor in preparing competitive Indonesian tourism human resources at the national and global levels.
