Bunda Mulia University (UBM) provided information on the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (PPKPT) to new students during the 2026 Welcoming Freshmen event . This information aimed to help new students understand the importance of maintaining a safe and comfortable campus environment for everyone. Through this activity, students were introduced to various forms of violence that can occur in higher education and were also encouraged to be more mindful of their attitudes and behaviors in interacting with others.

The material presented covers physical and verbal violence, bullying , sexual harassment, as well as discrimination and intolerance based on gender, religion, race, and other differences. Students are also given an understanding of steps that can be taken to prevent violence, such as equipping themselves with the right knowledge, avoiding behavior that harms others, having the courage to reject and report acts of violence, and providing support to survivors.

UBM also provides a reporting mechanism through the PPKPT Task Force, accessible via a form on the Student Portal. Reports can be made by victims or witnesses, providing clear evidence and providing information responsibly. Each report will be reviewed and followed up according to established procedures. Additionally, students in need of psychological support can access the Student Advisory Center (SAC ), where the counseling process and information provided are kept confidential.

Through this outreach, UBM hopes that new students will better understand the importance of mutual respect, maintaining boundaries in interactions, and taking appropriate action when encountering or experiencing suspected violence. With this understanding, students are expected to contribute to creating a safe, comfortable campus environment that supports learning and personal development.
