Jakarta, October 3, 2026 – The Buddhist Student Family (KMB) Dhammamitta Bunda Mulia University (UBM) celebrated the 20th anniversary of KMB Ancol and the 9th anniversary of KMB Serpong with the theme “United in Dhamma: Blooming Together, Thriving Forever” . The activity, which took place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, became a momentum to strengthen togetherness between members and alumni of KMB Dhammamitta Ancol and Serpong. Before the celebration, both communities also carried out social service activities as a form of concern for others. The series of events continued with remarks, Theravada Puja Bakti, and joint meditation.

One of the main activities in this celebration was a talk show with Venerable Bhikkhu Cittagutto Mahathera and Tiara Cecilia, General Chairperson of KMB Dhammamitta Serpong for the 2025/2026 period, with Velysia Tirta as moderator. The discussion addressed the application of Dhamma in student life, including maintaining the Precepts amidst diversity, turning mistakes into lessons, and building a community that supports each other without judgment. Through a question and answer session, participants actively participated in deepening their understanding of the values of Dhamma in everyday life. After the talk show , the event continued with the presentation of Tokens of Appreciation to the speakers, screening of greeting videos from alumni, and a birthday celebration through prayers, blessings , candle blowing, and cake cutting. The atmosphere was further enlivened by draw and guess games that encouraged cooperation among participants, as well as Dana Paramita activities.

The anniversary celebration of KMB Dhammamitta is not only an occasion to commemorate the organization’s journey, but also a momentum to strengthen the values of togetherness, care, and the practice of Dhamma in daily life. Twenty years of KMB Ancol’s journey and nine years of KMB Serpong are proof of the importance of member and alumni support in maintaining the sustainability of the community. Through the spirit of “United in Dhamma: Blooming Together, Thriving Forever” , KMB Dhammamitta hopes to continue to grow as a harmonious community, supporting each other, and cultivating shared virtue. Sabbe Satta Bhavantu Sukhitatta — may all beings be happy.
