Jakarta, October 1, 2026 – The Hospitality and Tourism Study Program of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) held a Seminar and Workshop/Internal Lecturer Training themed “Hospitality Industry Trends and Future Career Prospects” on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The activity took place at The UBM Hall, 8th Floor, from 11:30–1:30 PM WIB. This seminar and workshop presented Mark Lim, Senior Manager Talent Acquisition Radisson Hotel Group for SEAP & MEA, as a resource person, and was attended by eight permanent lecturers from the study program.

This activity was held because the global hospitality and tourism industry is undergoing rapid change. Traveler mobility is recovering, services are increasingly digitalized, and artificial intelligence is being applied in operations and marketing. The industry is also placing a growing emphasis on sustainability practices and personalized, data-driven guest experiences. These changes require lecturers to continuously update their knowledge to keep learning relevant to industry needs. 
The event opened with remarks from the Head of the Study Program, followed by presentations by keynote speakers. From a talent acquisition perspective, Mark Lim outlined the latest trends in the hospitality industry and the competencies sought by international hotel chains. These competencies include adaptability, digital literacy, cross-cultural insight, professionalism, and a service-oriented mindset. He also outlined the prospects and career paths for graduates, including internship programs and talent development within the Radisson Hotel Group.
