The Management Study Program and the Accounting Study Program of Bunda Mulia University participated in an external seminar entitled “ Ready for What’s Next – From Learning to Earning in the Age of AI ” organized by Pearson in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at JW Marriott Jakarta at 08.30 – 12.30.

The seminar began with a coffee break from 8:30 to 9:00 AM. The opening session began at 9:00 AM. This seminar is a leadership forum that brings together university leaders and higher education stakeholders to discuss the gap between graduate competencies and the needs of the workforce in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). The activity also introduced the Pearson × AWS AI Readiness Report 2026, which presents research results on the level of AI readiness in higher education and the various challenges faced in preparing graduates to be able to apply AI in professional work environments. The discussion also emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between universities and industry, developing lecturer competencies, and integrating AI into the learning process to produce graduates who are better prepared to face the transformation of the workforce.

In this activity, Bunda Mulia University was represented by Mrs. Sophia Reni Susilo, SE., MM as secretary of the Management Study Program of UBM Ancol Campus and Theresia Olivia, SE, M. Ak. as secretary of the Accounting Study Program of UBM Ancol Campus. This participation aims to increase insight and deepen understanding of the concept and implementation of Artificial Intelligence in learning in higher education, especially in the Management Study Program and the Accounting Study Program, so that it can be input in developing learning methods, compiling curricula, and improving student competencies to be more adaptive to industry needs in the digital era.
Through participation in this seminar, it is hoped that the insights gained can be implemented in learning activities at Bunda Mulia University, especially in the responsible use of AI to support the teaching and learning process, improve the quality of student learning experiences, and strengthen the readiness of graduates to face the challenges of an increasingly digitalized world of work.
