iCare Serpong Nursing Home Visit 2026 “Holding Hearts: Creating Meaningful Connections and Lasting Memories”

Tangerang, July 3, 2026 – The Student Activity Unit (UKM) iCare Serpong Campus has carried out one of its activities, namely a visit to the Nursing Home with the theme “Holding Hearts: Creating Meaningful Connections and Lasting Memories” . This activity is aimed at the residents of the Nursing Home, and involves the administrators and members of iCare for the 2025/2026 period. The Nursing Home visit was held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at the Marfati Nursing Home located at Jl. Dr. Sitanala No. 85, RT 001/RW 003, Mekarsari Village, Neglasari District, Tangerang City, Banten 15129.

The event began with a prayer, followed by remarks from the Student Body representative and the event chair. The event then moved on to the main event, the Tree of Hope, where the grandmas and grandpas were invited to create hearts and rabbits out of origami paper, each containing their own hopes.

The artworks were then individually affixed to a tree-shaped canvas, and decorated with grandma and grandpa’s fingerprints using colorful paint. Throughout the session, the atmosphere grew warmer as the grandmas and grandpas shared stories and experiences with the entire committee accompanying them. During the activity, a singing session was also held for the grandmas and grandpas who were willing to sing their favorite songs, accompanied by the entire committee also singing along and clapping along.

Following this, the event chair presented a donation of daily necessities to representatives of the Marfati Nursing Home management. The donation is expected to support the comfort and continuity of the activities of the grandmothers and grandfathers at the home. Before the event concluded, the committee also presented gifts and lunch to the grandmothers and grandfathers at the home, followed by a group lunch.

Through this Elderly Home Visit activity, iCare hopes to increase the sense of caring, togetherness, and empathy values so that in the future all administrators and members can continue to contribute significantly to improving the welfare of the elderly in the community.
