Bunda Mulia University (UBM) held a Community Service (PKM) activity themed “Introduction to Big Data Analytics as a Provision for Digital Skills” at Agape BK-3 High School. This activity aims to improve students’ digital literacy while introducing the concept of Big Data and its use in various fields as a provision to face technological developments in the Society 5.0 era. This program involved 4 lecturers and 15 UBM students with 19 participants of grade X of Agape BK-3 High School.
The activity was held in four sessions, namely on March 30, April 17, April 24, and May 8, 2026, taking place in the multimedia room of SMA Agape BK-3. The material provided included an introduction to Big Data, Big Data Analytics, supporting technologies such as Hadoop, and case studies of the application of data analytics in the industrial world and everyday life. The material was delivered through interactive learning methods based on problem-based learning, discussions, quizzes, and case studies to encourage active participant participation.
Through this activity, students gain new insights into the importance of data as a strategic asset, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and increase their readiness to face the increasingly data-driven needs of education and the workplace in the future.
