The Accounting Study Program of Bunda Mulia University held a Community Service (PKM) activity with Insan Teratai Vocational School in four meeting sessions on April 20, April 27, May 7, and May 18, 2026. This PKM activity carried the theme “Future Accounting Based on Big Data”.
This activity aims to support the acceleration of technological literacy at the vocational education level and bridge students’ digital marketing competencies with a comprehensive understanding of modern financial data governance which is now an important pillar in the global industry. Participants who participated in this activity were 15 11th grade students from the Digital Business department of Insan Teratai Vocational School.
The implementation of this PKM was guided directly by the lecturers together with a group of students from the Accounting Study Program of Bunda Mulia University. The participants were provided with an applied curriculum that was designed in a sustainable manner, including Introduction to Big Data & Digital Accounting Cycles, Digital Taxation , Digital Audit & Financial Fraud Detection, to Financial Ratio Analysis techniques and interactive Business Data Visualization. Each session of material delivery is packaged through group discussions, case simulations, and direct practice to ensure that the theory can be absorbed easily and enjoyably.
Based on the results of the questionnaire evaluation collected at the end of the period, this program has proven effective by achieving a very high average satisfaction index and level of understanding, ranging from 3.48 to 3.74 on a maximum scale of 4.0. Students confirmed that the introduction of this technology provides a new perspective, where digital business transaction data is no longer seen simply as numbers, but as a strategic asset that can be analyzed to become accurate business decisions.
With this PKM activity, it is hoped that Bunda Mulia University can continue to provide social and academic contributions that have a long-term impact on partner schools. The management and accompanying teachers of Insan Teratai Vocational School also expressed their extraordinary appreciation for the organization of this event and hope that this synergistic collaboration can continue to develop in the future to produce vocational graduates who are not only skilled in marketing strategies, but also adaptive, technologically savvy, and ready to compete in the rapid global digital economic landscape.
