On June 4, 2026, students of the Hospitality & Tourism Study Program participated in an Industrial Visit to Gran Melia Jakarta. Gran Meliá Jakarta was chosen as the location for the industrial visit because it is one of the star-rated hotels that implements professional service standards in the hospitality sector, starting from hotel operational management, guest service, facility management, food and beverage service, to the implementation of hospitality service excellence. Through this activity, students are expected to gain direct insight into work practices in the hospitality industry, especially in managing international-scale hotels. This industrial visit aims to provide students with an understanding of hotel operational systems, guest service standards, professional work ethics, and competencies needed in the hospitality world. In addition, students also have the opportunity to interact directly with industry practitioners, so they can understand the challenges, opportunities, and human resource needs in the tourism and hospitality sector. Through this activity, students are expected to be able to connect the theories they have learned in class with real-world practice. This activity also serves as a means to increase student readiness in facing the world of work, build professional insight, and strengthen understanding of the importance of service quality, communication, discipline, and work attitude in the dynamic hospitality industry.
