
The Management Study Program of Bunda Mulia Ancol University has held a Public Lecture on the Art of Retail Business with the topic ” Retail Pricing Strategy: Setting the Right Price to Win the Market ” on Monday, May 25, 2026, at The UBM Seminar Room, 7th Floor of UBM Ancol. This activity was carried out face-to-face ( onsite ), from 09.30 to 11.10 WIB, and was attended by 75 student participants. This public lecture presented Dr. Mujianto Nabiel , as Merchandising & Partnership General Manager at PT. Sumber Trijaya Lestari Aksesmu , as the main speaker who discussed material on Retail Pricing in the context of retail market competition.

The activity began with the participant registration process at 09.00–09.30 WIB, guided by Elkunny Dovir Siratan, S.Par., MM as moderator. The opening ceremony took place solemnly through a session of singing the Indonesian national anthem and the UBM March, then continued with remarks by the Head of the Management Study Program, Mrs. Tannia, SE., MM. After that, the moderator read a short profile of the speaker before entering the main session. In his presentation, the speaker explained the importance of pricing strategies in the retail business, starting from how to understand product value, consumer behavior, market position, to how price can be an important factor in winning the competition.

The presentation session lasted 60 minutes and was followed by a 20-minute question and answer session. During this session, participants enthusiastically asked questions about pricing strategies, retail business challenges, and the implementation of pricing strategies in competitive market conditions. The moderator then provided a summary of the material to conclude the discussion so that participants could understand the core learning more clearly. The activity concluded with the awarding of certificates to the speakers, a group photo session, and feedback from participants as a form of activity evaluation. Through this public lecture, students are expected to understand that pricing is not just a matter of numbers, but also part of a business strategy to attract consumers, build competitiveness, and win the market.
