
Jakarta, May 29, 2026 — Bunda Mulia University through the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program will hold an Adjunct Professor Class entitled “Sustainable Destination Marketing and ESG Practices” on May 29, 2026 , at 1 :30–3:10 PM WIB/GMT+7 .
This activity features Prof. Dr. Willy Legrand from the Department of Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management, IU International University, Germany, as the keynote speaker. Through this class, students will gain insight into the importance of sustainable destination marketing and the application of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
This Adjunct Professor Class was held in the Tourism Marketing course (HPD25) held at the Ancol and Serpong Campuses . This activity was attended by fourth-semester students of the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program at the Ancol and Serpong Campuses from classes 4PHP1, 4PHP2, 4PHP3, 4PHP51, and 4PHP52 .
This activity is part of Bunda Mulia University’s commitment to providing international learning experiences relevant to global industry developments. The topics discussed are considered crucial, given that sustainability practices are now a key factor in destination development, tourism marketing strategies, institutional reputation, and business decision-making in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
“Through this activity, Bunda Mulia University wants to provide a global learning space for students to be able to understand sustainability issues, especially in the context of destination marketing and ESG practices that are increasingly needed in the professional world,” said the head of the Hospitality and Tourism study program at Bunda Mulia University .
Through this session, students are expected to understand how sustainability and ESG concepts are applied to destination marketing strategies in a practical, ethical, and long-term manner. In addition to strengthening academic understanding, this class is also expected to open new perspectives on the role of the younger generation in supporting responsible, inclusive, and sustainable tourism business practices.
