The Management and Accounting Study Program of Bunda Mulia University held a joint PKM with PT Mecosin through the seminar “Integrated Risk Management in Manufacturing Plants to Enhance Safety, Efficiency, and Compliance”
The Management and Accounting Study Program of Bunda Mulia University, Serpong Campus, held a Community Service (PKM) activity with PT Mecosin on March 16, 2026, and April 14, 2026, with the theme “Integrated Risk Management in Manufacturing Plants to Enhance Safety, Efficiency, and Compliance” . This series of community service activities was carried out on April 16, 2026, presented by the Management Study Program represented by Dr. Oloan Situmorang, MM and Frananda SJ, SE, MBA, who discussed the topic of Risk Identification and Assessment in Manufacturing Plants and Risk Control, Monitoring, and Mitigation . The activity on April 14, 2026 was carried out by the Accounting Study Program represented by Arief Sugiono, SE, M.Ak, who presented a topic related to Inventory Risk Management. This activity was carried out in a hybrid manner, namely through online meetings (Zoom Meeting) and offline, starting at 09.00 to 12.00 WIB. This activity aims to improve practical understanding of risk management in the manufacturing industry environment. The participants who took part in this activity were employees of PT Mecosin, who participated both online and offline.
In the first session on March 16, Mr. Dr. Oloan Situmorang, MM delivered material on Risk Identification and Assessment in Manufacturing Plants . This material included an introduction to industrial risk management, types of risks in manufacturing plants, risk identification methods, and risk assessment techniques using a risk matrix equipped with case studies. Next, the second session was continued by Frananda SJ, SE, MBA. who discussed the topic of Risk Control, Monitoring, and Mitigation . In this session, various risk control strategies, mitigation steps, and the importance of continuous risk monitoring and evaluation processes, including the preparation of action plans .
On February 14, Mr. Arief Sugiono discussed the topic of inventory risk management. In this session, he explained the risks that might occur to raw material inventory that will disrupt the production process and also what steps can be taken to reduce these risks. The activity took place interactively, where participants were given the opportunity to discuss and ask questions to the speakers, both those who were present in person and through an online platform.
By holding this PKM activity, it is hoped that participants, especially PT Mecosin employees, can increase their understanding of integrated risk management in the manufacturing industry and be able to apply it to improve safety, efficiency, and compliance aspects in company operations. In addition, this activity also serves as a means to strengthen cooperation between Bunda Mulia University and the industrial world and provide applicable and relevant learning experiences.
