Jakarta, 7 April 2026 – Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) takes its educational outreach to the next level with a hands-on Trial Class at SMK Paramitha Jakarta Timur. The event, held on Tuesday, 7 April 2026, introduced students to the world of Hospitality and Tourism through an exciting Fusion Cake workshop featuring the trendy Mochi Matcha Cake.

The program, designed to give high school students a closer look at the vibrant and dynamic field of hospitality, provided an engaging and interactive way for participants to learn about food preparation and decoration. Guided by industry experts and passionate lecturers from UBM, students explored the delicious art of cake decoration, all while gaining insights into the hospitality industry.
Dr. Yudhiet Fajar Dewantara, M.Par., a lecturer at UBM’s Hospitality and Tourism program, led the session, making sure that each student left with not only a new skill but also a deeper understanding of the opportunities within the hospitality industry. The session was conducted with great enthusiasm, with 33 students participating and actively engaging throughout the class.
According to participants, the Trial Class was an eye-opening experience. “It was so much fun! I learned a lot about cake-making, and it was great to see how hospitality is much more than just serving food. It’s about creativity and passion,” said one of the students.

The event is part of UBM’s ongoing effort to provide students with practical knowledge, helping them make informed decisions about their future careers. The Trial Class served as both an introduction to the program and a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in an engaging and supportive environment.

“We are excited to showcase what our Hospitality and Tourism program has to offer. The students at SMK Paramitha were an absolute pleasure to work with, and we look forward to offering more interactive learning opportunities like this in the future,” said Yudhiet Fajar Dewantara, S.Pd., M.Par.
UBM’s commitment to innovative education goes beyond the classroom, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. The success of this Trial Class is just the beginning, with more events and educational outreach programs planned for the future.
