Jakarta, February 28, 2026 – The Buddhist Student Family of Bunda Mulia University (KMB) Ancol Campus held the Magha Puja 2569 BE / 2026 celebration with the theme “The Light of Magha: Living More Calmly Amidst Pressure.” This activity became a forum for togetherness between Sangha members, students, and the committee in deepening the understanding of the teachings of Dhamma. The theme likens light as a symbol of wisdom that grows in the month of Magha, where the application of the teachings of Ovada Patimokkha in daily life is believed to help one live a more calm life amidst various pressures.

The celebration took place at Bunda Mulia University’s Ancol Campus and was attended by 56 members of the community, including students and members of the campus Buddhist community. The presence of Sangha members at the event provided an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of the Dhamma and strengthen bonds of brotherhood among Buddhist students at the university.

The series of events began with an opening by the MC, followed by singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya and the KMB March. The event then continued with remarks from the Chief Executive and the General Chair of KMB Ancol as the official opening of the activity. The highlight of the event was filled with a joint service, meditation, and a talk show session featuring YM Bhiksuni Bhadra Loka and YM Bhiksuni Prabha Sila with Alesandra Congki as moderator. In this session, participants had the opportunity to discuss and deepen their understanding of the teachings of Dhamma, which was also complemented by the tradition of Amisa Puja as a form of respect for the Sangha.

In closing, the event was filled with blessing sessions, joint documentation, and writing of wishes by the participants. Through this activity, KMB Dhammamitta hopes that the Magha Puja celebration can be a momentum for Buddhist students to further appreciate the values of Dhamma, cultivate wisdom, and strengthen the sense of togetherness in campus life and the wider community. It is hoped that the spirit built in this activity can continue to bring peace and happiness to all beings. Sabbe Satta Bhavantu Sukhitatta . May all beings be happy. Sadhu… Sadhu… Sadhu… Sotthi Hotu, Namo Buddhaya, Namo Amitofo.
