Jakarta, February 6, 2026 – Bunda Mulia University’s Hospitality and Tourism Undergraduate Program has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving academic quality and the relevance of learning to the industry by participating in an External Seminar entitled “Mastering Bartending with Den Zakeyso.” This activity was organized by Oakwood Apartments PIK Jakarta on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM WIB. This seminar aims to provide updated insights on bartending techniques and service standards applied in the hospitality industry. Bartending as an important part of food and beverage operations has a strategic role in creating a quality service experience, so that an understanding of the latest industry practices is an important requirement for educators in the hospitality field. This activity was attended by around 35 participants from academics and food and beverage industry practitioners. Bunda Mulia University was represented by Prayogo Susanto, S.Par., M.Par., a lecturer in the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program, who actively participated in all series of activities starting from the presentation of materials, bartending practice sessions, to interactive discussions with speakers. Through this activity, participants gained firsthand experience regarding professional bartending practices applied in the hospitality environment. This seminar also contributed to strengthening the competence of lecturers as vocational educators, especially in bridging academic theory with real industry needs. The material obtained was considered relevant and has the potential to be integrated into related courses, such as mixology and food & beverage service, including in the HPC21 course – Restaurant and Banquet Management, with the implementation of this External Seminar activity, it is hoped that the synergy between the academic world and industry can continue to be established, and can have a positive impact on improving the quality of learning and graduates of the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program, Bunda Mulia University.
