Jakarta, November 2025 – The Student Senate of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (SEMA FISH) of Bunda Mulia University successfully held a series of leadership activities entitled BOLT XVII “Empowering Others: The Heart of Transformational Leadership”, which began with an opening webinar on November 21, 2025 and continued with the main activity of Basic Organization Leadership Training (BOLT) XVII on November 22-23, 2025. This series of activities was attended by students of Bunda Mulia University, Ancol and Serpong Campuses as an effort to equip students with an understanding and practice of leadership from an early age.

The opening webinar of BOLT XVII was held online and featured two speakers with two complementary leadership perspectives. The first speaker, Dr. Ir. Hilarius Bambang Winarko, MM, presented material on the theme “VISION” which discussed the importance of self-leadership in determining the direction and purpose of life. The second speaker, Dr. Patricia Robin, SIKom., MIKom, delivered material on “Command with Care” which emphasized the ideal leadership style based on empathy and concern. The webinar lasted for approximately three hours and began with remarks from Dr. Linguistik. Murniati, S.Pd., M.Hum, Senior Manager of Student Affairs, and the SEMA FISH management team, interspersed with a question and answer session and interactive games to increase participant participation.

As a continuation of practical learning, the main activities of BOLT XVII were held over two days at Villa Gunung Rindu, Puncak. The first day was filled with icebreakers, group games, organizational knowledge tests, event proposal writing exercises, and a sharing session with SEMA FISH alumni. Participants also presented proposals before the SEMA FISH Daily Executive Board as a means to develop self-confidence, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. The first day concluded with an interview session and participant evaluation.

On the second day, activities began with morning exercises and games, followed by an awarding session for the best participants, game winners, and the best proposals. The series of events then concluded with a content creation session, lunch together, and photo documentation. Through this series of webinars and BOLT XVII activities, SEMA FISH hopes that through these activities, students will increasingly understand that true leadership is not only about leading, but also about empowering others, and will be encouraged to be active in organizations as a forum for developing leadership potential and character in the future.
