UBM Students Achieve Brilliant Achievements at the 2025 Sahid Games, Demonstrating Excellence in Various Competition Categories

Jakarta, November 20, 2025, Students of the Hospitality and Tourism Undergraduate Program at UBM once again achieved a proud achievement in the prestigious culinary competition Sahid games “SUPER MARIO BROS: JUMP INTO ADVENTURE” which took place at Sahid University Jakarta, Soepromo Campus on Thursday, November 20, 2025. In the competition which was attended by participants from academic circles, UBM sent thirteen student delegates who competed in various categories, ranging from Quiz Competition , English Speech Competition , Making Bed, Table Set up, to Latte Art . In the Quiz Competition category, Semester 3 students, Yessa Queenzya Haryanto and Leticia Calista won 1st place and Bern Medison Nathanael and his partner Olivia Jolina won 2nd place . Within 15 minutes, participants were required to answer several questions from the judges correctly. Team 1 and Team 2 appeared confident and were able to compete with other participants from various educational institutions. Interestingly, the highest score in this class was achieved by UBM itself, showing the quality of competency possessed by students and proving the in-depth mastery of the material from UBM students. Similar achievements were also achieved in the English Speech Competition category which was held on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Chan Gabriella (Semester 3) successfully won 1st place and Steven Jose Suhendra (Semester 3) won 2nd place . In this category, Chan Gabriella and Steven Jose Suhendra were challenged to give a speech with a topic randomized by the judges within 5 minutes. The highest score in this class was achieved by UBM, the achievements of Chan Gabriella and Steven Jose Suhendra are clear evidence that UBM Hospitality and Tourism graduates are not only technically competent, but also have superior global communication skills. In the Table Set Up category, which was also held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, Violetta (Semester 3) won 3rd place . Within 15 minutes, Violetta was required to arrange a table such as plates, spoons, glasses, forks in an organized manner. Nevertheless, Violetta’s success in bringing home a medal is a source of pride for the study program. In the Making Bed category which took place on Thursday, November 20, 2025, Meilianatasya William (Semester 3) won 1st place, Meilinatasya had to prepare a bed with an Ocean theme in 7 minutes, by installing linen, arranging the duvet and providing ocean-themed ornaments. The highest score in the final session of this category was achieved by UBM. Meilianatasya’s participation in this category shows that UBM students also have strong potential in the field of Housekeeping. All of these students’ participation and achievements were made possible thanks to the guidance, technical guidance, and full support from the team of supervising lecturers, namely MMr. Ika Suryono Djunaid, S.ST.Par.,MM.Par., Ms. Stephanie Rosanto, B.Bus., M.B.A., Ms. Lamtiar Hema Mahalini, S.Par., M.M., Mr. Bapak Vishnuvardhana S.Soeprapto, BA., MA., dan Mr.  Prayogo Susanto, S.Par., M.Par., This series of medals not only brings honor to the Hospitality and Tourism Undergraduate Study Program, but also emphasizes UBM’s commitment to producing professional graduates who are ready to compete in the industry.
