Tangerang, November 7, 2025 – The Taekwondo Student Activity Unit (UKM) successfully held a seminar titled “ The Art of ITF Taekwon-Do . ” The seminar was held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the UBM Lecture Hall, 5th Floor, Alfa Tower. The seminar aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of members and students regarding the ITF style of Taekwon-Do.

The seminar was held as a hybrid session and was attended by both on-site and online participants from various regions, both from the Greater Jakarta area and beyond. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident in their active interactions throughout the material, particularly during discussions on philosophy, basic techniques, and the uniqueness of the ITF martial art in a modern context. The ITF itself is a Taekwon-Do style with a central organization called the International Taekwon-Do Federation.

The seminar began with an opening by the MC, followed by material sessions from the two speakers. The first speaker was Sabeumnim Kevin Khosasih, S.Ds., a DAN V belt holder, who gave a presentation on self-defense techniques and the importance of consistent training for students. The second speaker was Busabeumnim Victorian, a Dan III belt holder from the Taekwon-Do IDTF Club, who discussed the history, principles of movement, and values of discipline in ITF Taekwon-Do. Participants also had the opportunity to participate in an interactive question and answer session, both from onsite and online participants.

Through this activity, UKM Taekwon-Do Serpong hopes to broaden the knowledge of members and students about ITF martial arts, strengthen the Taekwon-Do community across regions, and increase student interest in understanding the philosophy and techniques of self-defense in more depth. Thank you to Sabeumnim Kevin Khosasih and Busabeumnim Victorian from IDTF Club, as well as the Student Affairs Division and all participants who have participated in the seminar “The Art of ITF”. See you at the next UKM Taekwondo Serpong event.
