Empathy is a crucial skill that allows a person to deeply understand and feel the feelings of others. Amidst the dynamics of campus life, filled with social interactions and academic pressures, the ability to understand and respond to others’ emotions is crucial. Students are frequently faced with various situations that require social sensitivity, whether in friendships, organizations, or the academic world. However, empathy is often misunderstood as simply sympathy, even though scientifically, empathy involves complex processes in the human brain and nervous system. Given these challenges, the neuroempathy approach emerged, combining the principles of neuroscience and empathy to understand how the brain, nervous system, and emotions interact in the empathic process. This approach not only emphasizes the importance of understanding others’ emotions but also teaches how one can consciously recognize, manage, and balance their emotional responses. Introducing the concept of neuroempathy is crucial for students so they can develop authentic, healthy, and sustainable empathy, especially in building positive social relationships in the academic environment. Seeing the importance of this, the Student Advisory Center (SAC) of Bunda Mulia University will hold a webinar entitled “Neuroempathy: Healing Empathy, Let’s Get CONNECT.” This webinar aims to increase students’ understanding of the basic concepts and principles of neuroempathy, develop the ability to apply empathy consciously and authentically, and encourage students to recognize and manage emotional responses in themselves and others. In addition, this activity also raises awareness of the importance of empathy as an integral part of mental health and the quality of social relationships. This webinar presents Dr. Veny Mulyani, M.Psi., Psychologist as a resource person and Vania Priskila, M.Psi., Psychologist as moderator. The webinar will be held online via Google Meet on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM WIB. From this activity, students are expected to be able to apply it more consciously in their daily lives, thereby creating a supportive campus environment oriented towards shared psychological well-being. This webinar is free of charge for students from the Ancol and Serpong Campuses.
