COMMUNITY SERVICE “FUTURE-PROOFING YOUR CAREER: MASTERING THE BASICS OF HOSPITALITY & TOURISM MAJORS” at SMA TARSISIUS VIRETA

On Monday, October 20, 2025, a Community Service (PKM) activity was held at Tarsisius Vireta High School, Tangerang. This activity was accompanied by accompanying lecturers, Dr. Patricia Robin, MIKom (Presentation of material on Mastering Social Etiquette and Body Language), Feronika Berutu, S.ST.Par., M.Par. (Presentation of material on Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism), and Sofiani, S.Tr.Par., M.Par. (Presentation of material on Sapta Pesona ). This activity was attended by more than 44 students of Tarsisius Vireta High School who showed high enthusiasm throughout the event. In addition to the presentation of material from the three lecturers, the event then continued with a practical session that attracted the attention of the students. Peter Jackson as an active Hospitality and tourism student demonstrated a Mixing Drink with a Lychee Sky Soda menu, a refreshing combination of soda and lychee. After that, Feli as an active Hospitality and tourism student presented a Cooking Demo with Spaghetti Aglio olio . The event proceeded smoothly, interactively, and enthusiastically, with participants actively participating in all the practical activities. It is hoped that this Community Service activity will broaden their knowledge and interest in the hospitality and tourism sectors and encourage the younger generation to become directly involved in the development of Indonesia’s tourism industry.
