Jakarta, September 26, 2025 – To mark the beginning of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, the Catholic Religious Activity Unit (UKR Katolik) of the Catholic Student Family (KMK) at Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Ancol Campus held the First Mass with the theme “A Pilgrimage Full of Hope.” The event took place on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Rooms 433 and 432 on the 4th floor of the Ancol Campus and was also broadcast online in a hybrid format. The mass was led by Rev. Eustachius Puspo Yuwono, MSC, and attended by around 60 participants, consisting of students and members of the UBM Ancol Campus academic community.
This event aimed to celebrate the first Eucharist of the new academic year, pray together in preparation for the Mid-Semester Examinations, and hold a blessing for the new KMK UBM management for the 2025/2026 Academic Year. Moreover, it served as a moment to strengthen the bonds between the new committee members and students, as well as to deepen their faith and draw closer to God through a solemn worship celebration.

In line with its theme, the First Mass of KMK served as a collective prayer to ask for God’s blessings so that all students may be granted smoothness and success in facing their exams, and that the new committee members may be given strength and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities throughout their term. It is hoped that through this worship, all participants may receive God’s protection and grace in every academic and service activity they undertake.
During the fellowship session, Miranda, as the Chairperson of KMK, introduced the members of the Executive Committee of KMK for the 2025/2026 Academic Year and hosted an interactive quiz for participants who joined the event from start to finish. Ten lucky participants received rosary necklaces as prizes, while two others received keychains after successfully answering questions from Rev. Eustachius Puspo Yuwono, MSC.

Overall, the First Mass of KMK, themed “A Pilgrimage Full of Hope,” ran smoothly and meaningfully. The committee expressed gratitude to BKM, the advisors, the Executive Committee of KMK UBM Ancol Campus 2025/2026, and all participants who contributed to the success of the event. Through this activity, it is hoped that KMK UBM will continue to organize meaningful spiritual activities that strengthen fellowship and nurture the spirit of service and faith among students.
