Jakarta, September 27, 2025 – In an effort to provide a deeper understanding of the growing halal tourism industry, the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) organized a public lecture titled “Perspectives on Tourism Science through the Halal Ecosystem” at the Halal Indonesia International Industry Expo (Halal Indo 2025) at ICE BSD, Hall 6–7.
The event was attended by 55 first-year students, including international students, and was accompanied by two lecturers, Mr. Yudhiet Fajar Dewantara, S.Pd., M.Par., and Mrs. Lamtiar Hema Malini , SPar.MM. This activity aimed to educate students on the concept and trends of halal tourism and its implications for the global tourism industry. Additionally, students were given the opportunity to link the theory of Tourism Science with policies, market trends, and industry practices.
During the public lecture, participants gained direct insights from two competent speakers:

This lecture aimed to help students understand the dynamics of the growing halal tourism market while inspiring them to explore entrepreneurial ideas and careers in halal tourism. Participants were also encouraged to see the career opportunities available in this promising industry, while relating the theory they have learned to real-world practices.
In addition to the talkshow, participants engaged in group discussions and completed individual reflection tasks, as well as one-page poster/infographic presentations to deepen their understanding of the halal tourism sector.
This event is expected to enrich students’ learning experiences, broaden their perspectives on opportunities within the halal tourism sector, and stimulate innovative ideas in entrepreneurship.
