Jakarta, September 9, 2025 – The Biems Theater Ancol Student Activity Unit successfully held a Meet & Greet event on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at The UBM Seminar Room (TUSR) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The event was lively and full of warmth, attended by new members (freshmen) who were enthusiastic about joining and getting to know the Biems Theater family more closely. Their presence symbolized a fresh spirit for the journey of the campus theater community in the upcoming period.
The program opened with a short drama performance titled “Senyorita” presented by the Biems Theater Executive Board. This performance was not only an entertaining opener but also a reflection of the creativity and solidarity that Biems Theater consistently upholds. The atmosphere grew warmer with welcoming remarks introducing the vision, mission, and work programs for the 2025/2026 period. A significant moment also took place with the handover ceremony, symbolizing regeneration and the passing of organizational leadership.
The event was further enlivened with a series of interactive activities. One highlight was a short drama game, where new students were divided into several groups and guided directly by the Executive Board members as mentors. Each group was challenged to create a simple story and perform it in front of the audience. This activity not only fostered creativity but also encouraged collaboration and built a sense of togetherness from the very first introduction. Laughter and positive energy filled the room, making the evening even more memorable.
Through this Meet & Greet, Biems Theater hopes to inspire more new students to develop their interests and talents in the performing arts. Beyond that, Biems Theater aspires to be a platform where students can learn, create, and collaborate together, while strengthening solidarity among its members.
