Jakarta, August 4, 2025 — The Accounting Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) once again conducted a Community Service (PKM) activity titled “Transformation of Digital Accounting Learning: Accurate Software Training for High School Students.” This event was held in person at the Universitas Bunda Mulia campus and attended by 27 students from SMA Budhaya 2 St. Agustinus.
The event took place on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 08.00 to 11.30 WIB in LAB B – Universitas Bunda Mulia, Ancol. The program began with an opening session by one of the lecturers from the Accounting Study Program at UBM, Ms. Theresia Olivia, S.E., M.Ak, who introduced the university life, particularly in the accounting major. In her presentation, Ms. Olivia explained the structure and learning methods in the Accounting Study Program, the advantages of its curriculum, and the career prospects for graduates in the future.
Following the program introduction, the event continued with a training session on Accurate software. The training aimed to equip students with practical skills in using the Accurate accounting software, which is widely used by companies across Indonesia. During the session, students were introduced to the basic concepts of digital accounting and the Accurate software interface.
Due to the enthusiasm shown by the school and students from SMA Budhaya 2 St. Agustinus, the community service activity also included a special session on scientific writing. This session aimed to equip students with critical and systematic thinking skills to express ideas in academic writing. Scientific writing, as an early introduction, highlighted the importance of academic writing and critical thinking skills. The material was designed to foster students’ interest and preparedness in facing scientific writing challenges both in school and in higher education.
The activity was also supported by students of the UBM Accounting Study Program, namely Marvin Luckianto and Agnes Liesty Gandi. This Community Service activity was implemented as part of the Accounting Study Program courses, specifically Digital Accounting Lab (Accurate) (AKH08) and Research Methodology. These courses encourage students to become technologically literate and shift their mindset that accounting is not only a textbook-based subject but can also be enhanced through the use of technology.
At Universitas Bunda Mulia, especially in the Accounting Study Program, the integration of technology is strongly supported. Through this PKM activity, Universitas Bunda Mulia reaffirms its commitment to continue collaborating with partner schools in providing meaningful contributions to society and promoting academic literacy among high school students.
