Also attended by nearly 100 participants from various regions in Indonesia, consisting of staff to managers of the PT Mecosin sales and marketing team.

The event was opened by Wong Inte, General Manager of PT Mecosin Indonesia, who expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between academia and industry. PT Mecosin itself is known as a company with 36 active products, one of which is Liserin as a flagship product that is widely recognized.

The first material was delivered by Manongga Bryan Christian, SE., MM, a lecturer in the Management Study Program at UBM. In his session, Bryan discussed the importance of building the right mindset for marketers as the main foundation in sales activities. He emphasized that confidence is greatly influenced by understanding the product being sold, courage in public speaking, and the ability to deliver messages without being trapped in certain brand preferences. This session was opened interactively through a “favorism” game that encouraged participants to be aware of psychological tendencies in expressing opinions, while also creating a participatory atmosphere at the beginning of the training.

The next session was filled by Ongky Alex Sander, SE., MM, who raised the theme “Persuasive Presentation Techniques to Increase Sales of Non-Flagship Products.” Ongky explained how effective presentations can be a strategic tool in introducing products that have not yet gained maximum exposure in the market. He shared persuasive approaches that can be applied by the sales team to build closeness with customers, highlight product advantages logically, and respond to consumer objections in a professional and convincing manner. This material was very relevant to the needs of the participants, especially due to the challenges in the field regarding the lack of market recognition of some products.

The training also included simulation practice, where participants tried to directly apply the techniques they had learned. The event became more lively with a Q&A session, which began with a response from Kandi Sofia S. Dahlan, MBA, Ph.D., as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of UBM, followed by various questions from participants that were answered directly by the speakers.

As a closing, Yurita Tjahaja, President Director of PT Mecosin Indonesia, gave her appreciation and summarized the course of the event. In her remarks, she expressed her gratitude for the positive synergy built between UBM and PT Mecosin, as well as her hope that this training could strengthen the presentation skills of the sales team in various regions.
This activity becomes a real form of Bunda Mulia University’s commitment in providing strategic contributions through faculty service programs, bridging practical knowledge and industry needs in improving human resource capacity.
