The Management Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia, in collaboration with SMA Katolik Sang Timur, successfully conducted a Community Service activity on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025. This activity took the form of a trial class with the theme “Business Design Using the Business Model Canvas.” It was held in a classroom at Universitas Bunda Mulia, Serpong Campus, from 09.30 to 11.00 AM. A total of 27 students actively participated in the event. The speakers were Ms. Christy Ayu Sarah Panjaitan, S.E., M.M., a lecturer from the Management Study Program, and Christian Gregory Go, an active student of the same program at the Serpong campus.
The Business Model Canvas (BMC) is a strategic tool used to visualize, analyze, and design a business model in a comprehensive manner. Amidst rapid changes in the business world and fast-paced technological advancements, having a deep understanding of an effective business model is increasingly crucial for businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and innovators. This activity aimed to introduce the concept of the Business Model Canvas to high school students as a foundation for understanding and developing business ideas in the future. With a solid grasp of BMC, students are expected to be able to design, communicate, and test their own business models more easily and effectively.
The activity took place in an interactive and communicative atmosphere, where participants were not only listening to the material but also actively engaging in discussions, answering questions, and sharing their own experiences. The material was delivered in a light yet inspiring manner, tailored to be relevant and relatable to today’s youth. Through this Community Service activity, it is hoped that the students will gain new insights and be better prepared to face the challenges of the business world in the digital era. This knowledge will support them in innovating and thinking strategically—skills that are essential in this dynamic age. This activity is also in line with Universitas Bunda Mulia’s mission to enhance public understanding of modern management and business concepts, and to make a tangible contribution to the educational environment in Indonesia.
