In today’s digital era, understanding data is essential—especially for the younger generation. In response, a community service program titled “Understanding Big Data: Big Data to Building Applications” was held on June 12, 2025, at SMK Strada Daan Mogot, Tangerang. This activity was part of a university initiative by lecturers and students of the SIE05 – Big Data course.
Using both theoretical and practical approaches, students from the animation major were introduced to the concept of Big Data, its role in application development, and the basics of UI/UX design. The hands-on session, using Figma and inspired by platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, allowed students to apply data insights to creative interface designs.
This activity helped bridge the knowledge gap in data utilization and design. The students’ enthusiastic participation showed that the event was not only educational but also encouraged deeper exploration of digital technologies relevant to the modern workforce.
