Tangerang, June 13, 2025 – The Christian Spiritual Activity Unit (JIC) of Bunda Mulia University, Serpong Campus, held a retreat with the theme “The Father’s Heart & The Child’s Heart”. The retreat was held for 2 days and 1 night from Thursday, June 12, 2025 to Friday, June 13, 2025 at Griya Inkopabbri, Cisarua, and was attended by 50 students from Bunda Mulia University, Serpong Campus.
The retreat aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of the Father’s unconditional love, as illustrated in Luke 15:11–32, where the Father welcomes his son back, even though the son returns in brokenness. The Father’s heart not only welcomes the broken and lost but also offers peace and relief. Through this retreat, participants were invited to model the Father’s love by loving others as individuals worthy of love—not because of their goodness, but because we are worthy of love as His creation.
The retreat began with the participants gathering at UBM for initial attendance, group division, and receiving their retreat shirts. Participants continued their journey together to Griya Inkoppabri. Upon arrival, the event opened with a welcome by the MCs, Chelsea Ariella Suhardjo and Regina Violyn. A strong sense of camaraderie emerged as each group introduced themselves, appointed group leaders, and created team chants. The event continued with games led by the event team.
In the first day the participants play various games, an evening service, and a revival service (KKR), which began with a Praise & Worship session led by Gabrielle Marliana Gunawan and Virginia Ruvita Sarlina Nesimnasi. A solemn atmosphere filled the room during the sermon and altar call delivered by PDP. Steven Yeremia Irawan.
The second day began with a devotion, morning exercise, and more games led by Estefania Widia Diandra and Yehezkiel Samuel Marcellino. As a closing to the retreat, the committee presented prizes to the groups that won the games.
In conclusion, all retreat activities ran smoothly, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the mentors, speakers, the JIC Serpong Campus Executive Board for the 2024/2025 period, and to the participants for their time, energy, and cooperation in making this year’s retreat with the theme “The Father’s Heart & The Child’s Heart” a memorable one.
