Jakarta, May 20, 2025 – Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM), through its Data Science and Information Systems Study Program, successfully held a public lecture titled “The Future Impact of Artificial Intelligence”. The session featured Prof. Bo An from Nanyang Technological University, a leading academic in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This event was part of the enrichment program for two courses: DSZ01 – Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and SII06 – Social Computing, aiming to provide students with global insight and practical perspectives on AI development.
Held at the UBM Sport Hall, the lecture was attended by students from classes 2PSI51, 2PSI52, and 6PSI52. Prof. Bo An presented current trends, future challenges, and opportunities brought by AI, highlighting its profound impact on society, industry, and sustainable development. Students were encouraged to think critically and understand their role in promoting responsible and inclusive use of technology.
Based on student evaluations, the event received an average satisfaction score of 3.69 out of 4, with the highest ratings given to the speaker’s ability to answer questions (3.75) and subject mastery (3.74). These scores reflect the strong appreciation from participants and the meaningful contribution of the session to their academic learning experience.
This public lecture reinforces UBM’s commitment to delivering globally relevant education by integrating academic theory with insights from international experts in the field of technology and innovation.
