Tangerang, May 20, 2025 — Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM), through its Faculty of Technology and Design, held an exclusive workshop entitled “From Algorithmic and RL-Based to LLM-Powered Agents”, presented by Prof. Bo An, a leading expert in Artificial Intelligence from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. The workshop was specially designed for lecturers and academic staff as part of a continuous professional development initiative aimed at enhancing academic capacity and enriching technological insights.
In this session, Prof. Bo An delivered an in-depth exploration of the evolutionary transformation of intelligent agents—from traditional algorithmic methods and reinforcement learning (RL) models to the emergence of large language model (LLM)-based agents. This shift marks a significant milestone in the development of AI systems that are increasingly adaptive, intuitive, and capable of handling complex real-world challenges.
The workshop featured active participation from UBM faculty members in engaging discussions on collaborative research opportunities, strategies for integrating cutting-edge AI topics into university curricula, and the ethical and pedagogical challenges of teaching AI to a generation of digital-native students.
This event is part of UBM’s broader commitment to fostering international collaboration and advancing the quality of higher education through innovation and technology-driven learning.
