Serpong – The Student Association of Information Systems (HIMSI) at Universitas Bunda Mulia, Serpong Campus, successfully held a gathering event titled “The SI Hangout: Meet, Mingle, and Have Fun” on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Library Hall, 7th Floor.
The event was attended by 24 students from various academic years along with 19 committee members, aiming to strengthen the bond among Information Systems students, both across batches and within the same batch. It also served as a platform to create a more familiar and supportive atmosphere, enhance camaraderie, and open up opportunities for communication and collaboration within the department.
The event began with opening remarks from Ms. Merryana Lestari, the HIMSI Advisor, who expressed her hopes for HIMSI to continue being an active and supportive space for students. The HIMSI Chairperson also took the opportunity to promote the upcoming LKMM event as one of the key programs for student organization development.
The agenda continued with a series of fun and interactive games specially designed to boost teamwork and unity. The three main games that captured the participants’ excitement were:
- Letter Puzzle – Students were grouped and challenged to form words from randomly shuffled letters. Each member had to pick up letters in a specific order, testing their coordination and team strategy
- Candy Grab Challenge – A thrilling game where two participants had to move candies using cups or grabbing tools with matching hand usage, making it tricky for one person to complete alone.
- Cup Shift Challenge – A game that required focus and precision as players had to guide a ball down from the top of a cup pyramid to the bottom without toppling the cups.
The event concluded with the announcement of winners, prize distribution, and a cheerful documentation session.
Through this event, HIMSI hopes to inspire more students to actively participate in both academic and organizational activities. The sense of togetherness and collaboration built during the event is expected to become a strong foundation for the growth of the Information Systems community at UBM in the future
