The Technical and Fundamental Learning from Scratch activity is a seminar organized by MNC Sekuritas, focusing on the socialization and education of the capital market to the general public, particularly regarding the stock market with fundamental and technical analysis. The seminar was divided into two sessions conducted online via Zoom, both presented by Mrs. Indah Nurhabibah as the Head of Sharia & Investment Gallery at MNC Sekuritas. The first session, held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM WIB, carried the theme “Learning Technical Analysis from Scratch”. The second session, conducted on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM WIB, had the theme “Learning Fundamental Analysis from Scratch”. These sessions were attended by Mr. Elkunny Dovir Siratan, Mrs. Tannia, and Mr. Alexander Robert as lecturers of the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia, along with active management program students who also represented members of the Capital Market Study Group (KSPM) and Excellent Community of Management (XCM).
In the first session, titled “Learning Technical Analysis from Scratch,” the material was specifically directed at prospective investors or those who have not yet understood or had a perspective on technical analysis. Mrs. Indah Nurhabibah explained the introduction to technical analysis and price charts, followed by a highly comprehensive explanation of concepts such as timeframes, trends, support and resistance, and types of traders tailored to investors’ strategies. Furthermore, the session continued with the introduction of MA, MACD, and RSI as the most commonly used indicators in technical analysis.
In contrast, the session titled “Learning Fundamental Analysis from Scratch” targeted prospective investors or beginners. Mrs. Indah Nurhabibah provided an explanation and overview of fundamental analysis and its connection to macro and global economics with illustrations and its impact on capital market performance. She also taught participants how to read financial statements through motion trade.
Each session presentation was followed by a Q&A session and a post-test as a form of evaluation by MNC Sekuritas to monitor the participants’ understanding and the effectiveness of the event. This evaluation assessed respondents or participants who attended each seminar session.
