Tangerang, May 30, 2026 – Universitas Bunda Mulia, through BM Class and the Alumni Career Center, once again held a Soft Skills Training session for final-year students under the theme “Strategic Self-Discovery: Future-Proofing Your Career with Authenticity and AI Literacy.” This event was organized as a form of Universitas Bunda Mulia’s commitment to preparing students to face the evolving challenges of the working world, particularly in the era of digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The event, which took place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, was held in Rooms 1408–1409, 14th Floor, UBM Tower Building, Serpong Campus. The training was conducted in two sessions, a morning session and an afternoon session, to accommodate final-year students participating in this program as part of their non-academic competency development and professional preparation.
The morning session, which started at 08:00 WIB, featured Mr. Ezra Redo Jawentinus, S.Psi., M.Psi., the Talent Acquisition Manager of Orang Tua Group, who shared insights into current industry demands and the competencies future professionals need to navigate a changing workforce. In his presentation, Ezra emphasized the importance of thorough preparation and deep research before applying for jobs. He warned students not to become “blind applicants”—those who blindly send out resumes without understanding the products, business scale, or core values of the target company. Furthermore, Ezra highlighted a psychological mindset that often becomes a major stumbling block for fresh graduates, which is intellectual arrogance.
At the afternoon session at 13:00 WIB, participants gained insights from Tomy Martinus, S.Sn., Creative Manager of Packaging & Point of Sales Material at PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk, who is also an alumnus of the Visual Communication Design study program at Universitas Bunda Mulia. Drawing from his professional experience in the FMCG industry, he shared a practical formula titled “TINGKATIN GEAR” as a guide for students to use AI smartly and competitively without losing their true identity. Through this concept, students were encouraged to accept and collaborate with technology (Get) and use it as a catalyst to boost foundational personal and technical skills (Elevated). On the other hand, he also emphasized the importance of producing work that carries a unique personal character and signature style rather than just modifying templates (Authentic), while staying responsible about ethics, copyright, and originality to avoid infringing on others’ work (Responsibility).
The training session was then guided by Mr. Ongky Alex Sander, S.E., M.M., who invited all participants to explore self-development strategies more deeply. Through a self-discovery approach, he equipped students with a fundamental understanding of their authentic potential and how to combine it effectively with AI to support their future career acceleration. The training atmosphere became even more interactive and exciting when students were asked to immediately practice the material by creating mock-ups of their future career profiles, which were tailored specifically to the interests of their respective study programs.
Through this comprehensive Soft Skills Training, Universitas Bunda Mulia reaffirms its long-term commitment to bridging the gap between academia and real-world industry needs. UBM consistently ensures that its graduates are not only academically proficient but also possess a strong character, mature technological literacy, and a professional mindset ready to make an immediate, positive impact in the real world.
Tangerang, 30 Mei 2026 – Universitas Bunda Mulia melalui BM Class dan Alumni Career Center kembali menyelenggarakan kegiatan Softskill Training bagi mahasiswa semester akhir dengan tema “Strategic Self-Discovery: Future-Proofing Your Career with Authenticity and AI Literacy”. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan sebagai bentuk komitmen Universitas Bunda Mulia dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja yang terus berkembang, khususnya di era transformasi digital dan kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI). Kegiatan yang berlangsung pada Sabtu, 30 Mei 2026 ini dilaksanakan di Ruang 1408–1409, Lantai 14, Gedung UBM Tower, Kampus Serpong. Softskill Training diselenggarakan dalam dua sesi, yaitu sesi pagi dan sesi siang, untuk mengakomodasi partisipasi mahasiswa semester akhir yang mengikuti program ini sebagai bagian dari pengembangan kompetensi non-akademik dan persiapan memasuki dunia profesional.
Sesi pagi yang dimulai pukul 08.00 WIB menghadirkan Bapak Ezra Redo Jawentinus, S.Psi., M.Psi., selaku Talent Acquisition Manager Orang Tua Group, yang berbagi wawasan mengenai kebutuhan industri saat ini serta kompetensi yang perlu dimiliki oleh calon profesional untuk menghadapi perubahan dunia kerja. Dalam paparannya, Ezra menekankan pentingnya persiapan matang dan riset mendalam sebelum melamar pekerjaan. Beliau mengingatkan mahasiswa agar tidak terjebak menjadi blind applicant—yakni pelamar yang asal mengirimkan resume tanpa memahami produk, skala bisnis, maupun core values dari perusahaan yang dituju. Lebih jauh, Ezra menyoroti satu fenomena mental yang kerap menjadi batu sandungan terbesar bagi para fresh graduates, yaitu intellectual arrogance (kesombongan intelektual).



Pada sesi siang pukul 13.00 WIB, peserta memperoleh wawasan dari Tomy Martinus, S.Sn., Creative Manager Packaging & Point of Sales Material PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk sekaligus alumni Program Studi Desain Komunikasi Visual Universitas Bunda Mulia. Berbekal rekam jejak profesionalnya di industri FMCG, beliau membagikan formula praktis bertajuk “TINGKATIN GEAR” sebagai panduan mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan AI secara cerdas dan kompetitif tanpa kehilangan jati diri. Melalui konsep tersebut, mahasiswa didorong untuk menerima dan berkolaborasi dengan teknologi (Get), sekaligus menggunakannya sebagai katalis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dasar personal dan keterampilan teknis (Elevated). Di sisi lain, beliau juga menekankan pentingnya menghasilkan karya yang memiliki tanda tangan khas serta karakter unik personal bukan sekadar memodifikasi template (Authentic), dengan tetap memperhatikan etika, hak cipta, serta orisinalitas agar tidak melanggar karya orang lain (Responsibility).



Sesi pelatihan kemudian kembali dipandu oleh Bapak Ongky Alex Sander, S.E., M.M., yang mengajak seluruh peserta untuk mengeksplorasi strategi pengembangan diri secara lebih mendalam. Melalui pendekatan self-discovery, beliau membekali mahasiswa dengan pemahaman mendasar mengenai potensi diri yang autentik serta bagaimana mengombinasikannya dengan pemanfaatan AI secara efektif untuk mendukung akselerasi perjalanan karier mereka di masa depan. Suasana pelatihan pun menjadi semakin interaktif dan seru saat para mahasiswa diajak langsung mempraktikkan materi dengan membuat mock-up profil karier masa depan mereka, yang disesuaikan secara spesifik berdasarkan peminatan dari program studi masing-masing.


Melalui penyelenggaraan Softskill Training yang komprehensif ini, Universitas Bunda Mulia kembali menegaskan komitmen berkelanjutannya dalam menjembatani kesenjangan antara dunia akademik dan kebutuhan riil industri.
