As part of its ongoing commitment to developing highly skilled human resources capable of competing at both the national and global levels, Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM), through BM Class, continues to demonstrate its dedication to student development. UBM will organize a Competency Certification Program licensed by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) for active students in the fields of hospitality and tourism.
This strategic initiative is designed to assess, measure, and formally recognize students’ practical competencies through a nationally accredited certification process. By earning a certification issued directly by BNSP, Indonesia’s official professional certification authority, UBM graduates will gain nationally recognized credentials that strengthen their professional credibility and better prepare them to contribute effectively from the very beginning of their careers.
The certification program covers several competency schemes, including Cook Helper, Event Planner, Junior Tour Guide (Guiding), and Tour Planner. The program is designed to assess and validate students’ competencies in accordance with industry standards, ensuring that graduates possess recognized professional skills and are better prepared to meet the demands of today’s workforce.
To ensure the integrity and credibility of the certification process, all competency assessments will be conducted by BNSP-licensed Competency Assessors and supported by Universitas Bunda Mulia lecturers serving as Persons in Charge (PICs). This approach ensures that every stage of the assessment complies with the rigorous procedures and standards established by the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) and BNSP.
Through this objective and standardized assessment process, students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their technical competencies in a professional setting. Upon successful completion, participants will receive the BNSP Competency Certificate, bearing Indonesia’s Garuda emblem, which serves as a valuable Diploma Supplement (Surat Keterangan Pendamping Ijazah/SKPI). This nationally recognized credential provides authentic evidence of professional competence and is expected to enhance graduates’ employability across various sectors, including the hospitality industry, cruise lines, travel agencies, and the meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) industry.
Dalam upaya berkelanjutan mencetak sumber daya manusia unggul yang siap bersaing di kancah nasional maupun global, Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) melalui BM Class kembali menunjukkan komitmen nyatanya. UBM akan menyelenggarakan program Sertifikasi Kompetensi berlisensi Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP) bagi para mahasiswa aktif di bidang hospitality dan pariwisata.
Langkah strategis ini dirancang untuk menguji, mengukur, sekaligus memberikan pengakuan formal berskala nasional terhadap keterampilan praktis mahasiswa. Melalui sertifikasi yang dikeluarkan langsung oleh lembaga otoritas resmi negara (BNSP), lulusan UBM dipastikan memiliki kredibilitas profesi yang kuat dan siap pakai sejak hari pertama mereka lulus.
Sertifikasi Kompetensi ini diadakan pada sejumlah skema yaitu, Cook Helper, Event Planner, Pramuwisata Muda (Memandu), dan Tour Planner. Program ini bertujuan untuk mengukur sekaligus memvalidasi kompetensi mahasiswa sesuai dengan standar industri, sehingga lulusan memiliki bekal keterampilan yang diakui dan lebih siap menghadapi kebutuhan dunia kerja profesional.
Dalam menjaga akuntabilitas pelaksanaan, seluruh proses asesmen diuji langsung oleh Asesor Kompetensi berlisensi serta didampingi oleh dosen Universitas Bunda Mulia yang bertindak sebagai Person in Charge (PIC). Hal ini memastikan jalannya uji kompetensi sepenuhnya mematuhi prosedur ketat yang ditetapkan oleh Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi (LSP) dan BNSP.
Melalui proses asesmen yang objektif dan terstandarisasi ini, para mahasiswa berkesempatan membuktikan kompetensi teknisnya secara profesional. Sertifikat kompetensi berlambang Garuda dari BNSP yang diperoleh nantinya akan menjadi dokumen pendamping ijazah (SKPI) yang sangat berharga. Dokumen ini menjadi bukti autentik yang dapat mempercepat penyerapan lulusan Universitas Bunda Mulia di sektor perhotelan, kapal pesiar, biro perjalanan, hingga industri penyelenggaraan acara (MICE).
