
Jakarta, May 27, 2026 – Active students from the Visual Communication Design (VCD) Study Program at Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Ancol successfully organized Synkarsa Fest, an art festival centered on the themes of collaboration and connection. The festival was conducted as part of the implementation of the Design Project Management (DPM) course and was held in collaboration with Main Main Fest. The event took place over three days, from May 19–21, 2026, at The UBM Plaza and the UBM Ancol Campus Lobby. Synkarsa Fest was organized with the primary objective of educating and raising awareness among young people about the importance of building connections and fostering collaboration within the creative industry. Through a combination of visual arts and creativity, the festival also featured a variety of interactive games, including the Post-To-Post Game, designed to encourage engagement among visitors.

The festival officially opened on the first day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony following the opening remarks. Yana Erlyana, S.Sn., M.M., Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program at UBM and Lecturer of the Design Project Management course, congratulated both Synkarsa Fest and Main Main Fest and expressed her hopes for the event’s success in her welcoming speech. She also hoped that all students would enjoy and benefit from the event.The opening remarks continued with Jovan, Project Manager of Synkarsa Fest, who expressed gratitude for the enthusiasm shown by visitors and explained that the festival was created as a platform for exposure and a space for building connections among participants. The session concluded with remarks from Justin, Vice Project Manager of Main Main Fest, who added that the collaboration aimed to provide exposure opportunities for independent game developers. The opening ceremony was officially concluded with the ribbon-cutting session, followed by a musical performance by Area Estetika, one of the event’s sponsors. On the second day, the festival continued with a seminar titled “Creative Convergence: Building Collaboration in the Creative Industries,” featuring Adi Victory, a TV commercial and film director, as the keynote speaker. The festival officially concluded on the third day with an appreciation speech delivered by Jovan, who thanked all committee members and visitors for their participation and support.

Throughout the event, all art installations, seminars, performances, and interactive games were presented under a unified theme aimed at promoting collaboration and strengthening connections among participants. The event received an overwhelmingly positive response from the public, recording a total of 725 visitors over the three-day period. Through its diverse range of activities, Synkarsa Fest successfully attracted broad attention not only from the university community but also from members of the general public from various backgrounds. Through this achievement, the students of the Visual Communication Design Study Program at UBM hope that Synkarsa Fest will inspire more people to collaborate, build meaningful connections, and create impactful works together.
