Tangerang, 11 November 2025 — Program Studi Desain Komunikasi Visual Universitas Bunda Mulia (DKV UBM) sukses menyelenggarakan kuliah umum bertajuk “Career in the Animation Industry: Insights from the Industry”, sebuah sesi inspiratif yang memberikan wawasan langsung mengenai peluang dan dinamika karier di industri animasi. Kegiatan berlangsung secara onsite pada Selasa, 11 November 2025, bertempat di Lecture Hall, Lantai 5 Alfa Tower, Universitas Bunda Mulia.
Kuliah umum ini menghadirkan Bapak Agus Wibowo, Studio Head sekaligus Director dari BRD Studios, sebagai narasumber utama. Dalam materinya, beliau menguraikan berbagai proses penting dalam produksi animasi, mulai dari pipeline kerja di studio, pembagian peran dalam tim kreatif, hingga kualitas kompetensi yang dibutuhkan untuk bersaing di industri. Beliau juga membagikan pengalaman profesionalnya dalam memimpin proyek animasi serta memberikan gambaran nyata mengenai tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi para kreator visual di lapangan.
Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 229 mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi yang hadir secara langsung di lokasi kegiatan. Antusiasme peserta tampak dari banyaknya pertanyaan yang diajukan terkait strategi membangun portofolio, peluang karier, hingga pengembangan soft skills dan technical skills yang relevan dengan industri animasi masa kini. Sesi diskusi berjalan aktif dan memberikan wawasan baru yang aplikatif bagi mahasiswa.
Melalui kuliah umum ini, Program Studi DKV UBM terus menunjukkan komitmennya dalam menghadirkan pengalaman belajar yang relevan dengan perkembangan industri kreatif, sejalan dengan moto “Bridging Education to The Real World.” Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memotivasi mahasiswa untuk semakin mengasah kemampuan kreatif, memahami kebutuhan industri, serta mempersiapkan diri untuk membangun karier profesional di dunia animasi.

The event took place onsite on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, at the Lecture Hall, 5th Floor of Alfa Tower, Universitas Bunda Mulia.
The session featured Mr. Agus Wibowo, Studio Head and Director of BRD Studios, as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, he discussed essential aspects of the animation production process, including studio pipeline, team roles within creative production, and the professional competencies required to excel in the industry.
