UBM Organizes Hospitality and Tourism Competency Certification for the Even Semester of Academic Year 2025/2026

Jakarta, July 31, 2026 – Universitas Bunda Mulia, through BM Class, organized the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program Competency Certification for the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year as part of its commitment to preparing graduates with competencies that meet the demands of the hospitality and tourism industries. The program featured five certification schemes: Pastry Helper, Waiter, Bell Boy/Bell Attendant/Bell Service Attendant, Receptionist, and Room Attendant, providing students with the opportunity to assess and demonstrate their competencies in their respective fields of specialization. The first assessment was conducted in the form of a written examination to evaluate participants’ understanding of the fundamental theories and concepts covered throughout the program. This was followed by the practical assessment, during which participants completed hands-on simulations designed to replicate real-world working conditions in the hospitality industry.

The certification assessments were conducted across Universitas Bunda Mulia’s two campuses, utilizing specialized practical laboratories as Competency Assessment Centers, in accordance with each certification scheme. Through this certification process, participants had the opportunity to demonstrate their technical expertise, understanding of standard operating procedures, and professional conduct required in the workplace. Upon successfully completing the assessment, participants were declared competent in the respective competency scheme they pursued, confirming their ability to apply the required knowledge and practical skills in accordance with industry standards.

The implementation of this Competency Certification Program reflects Universitas Bunda Mulia’s commitment to producing graduates who are well prepared to compete in the hospitality and tourism industries. By providing practice-based assessments aligned with industry competency standards, the program is expected to enhance students’ confidence while strengthening their readiness to enter the professional workforce and pursue successful careers in the hospitality, tourism, and service sectors.

Jakarta, 31 Juli, 2026 – Universitas Bunda Mulia melalui BM Class menyelenggarakan Sertifikasi Kompetensi Program Studi Hospitality dan Pariwisata Tahun Akademik Genap 2025/2026 sebagai bentuk komitmen dalam mempersiapkan lulusan yang memiliki kompetensi sesuai kebutuhan industri jasa dan pariwisata. Program ini menghadirkan lima skema sertifikasi, yaitu Pastry Helper, Waiter, Bell Boy/Bell Attendant/Bell Service Attendant, Receptionist, dan Room Attendant, sehingga mahasiswa dapat mengukur sekaligus membuktikan kemampuan sesuai bidang yang ditekuni. Ujian pertama dilakukan secara tertulis untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh peserta memahami teori-teori dasar dari yang telah dipelajari. Dilanjutkan dengan ujian kedua yakni praktek, peserta melalui simulasi praktik yang mencerminkan kondisi kerja nyata di industri hospitality.

Pelaksanaan sertifikasi diselenggarakan di dua kampus Universitas Bunda Mulia dengan Laboratorium Praktik sebagai Tempat Uji Kompetensi sesuai skema sertifikasi. Melalui proses sertifikasi ini, peserta memperoleh kesempatan untuk menunjukkan kemampuan teknis, pemahaman terhadap standar operasional, serta sikap profesional yang menjadi tuntutan dunia kerja. Hasil output yang didapatkan dari sertifikasi ini adalah, peserta dinyatakan kompeten dalam mengaplikasikan skema kompetensi yang diikuti.

Penyelenggaraan Sertifikasi Kompetensi ini merupakan wujud nyata komitmen Universitas Bunda Mulia dalam menghasilkan lulusan yang siap bersaing di industri hospitality dan pariwisata. Dengan pengalaman asesmen berbasis praktik dan mengacu pada standar kompetensi industri, program ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa sekaligus memperkuat kesiapan mereka untuk memasuki dunia kerja profesional maupun mengembangkan karier di sektor jasa dan pariwisata.
