
Jakarta, 5 November 2025 – For today’s young generation, especially high school students, social media is no longer just a platform for entertainment, but also a space for self-expression, creativity, and even future career opportunities. The Visual Communication Design (DKV) and Interactive Design Study Programs of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) have once again demonstrated their commitment to supporting youth development through a Community Service Program (PKM) held at SMA Kristen Yusuf, Jakarta.
The program, titled “Training on Basic Social Media Branding,” was conducted in four sessions every Wednesdays, from September 3, 10, 17, to September 24 2025. The training featured two main speakers, Mrs. Thami Endamora Daulay, S.Kom., M.A., and Mrs. Aprilia Kartini, S.Pd., M.Sn., both lecturers from Bunda Mulia University, assisted by two students from the Interactive Design Study Program, Rista Indri Yuliana Ambarita and Margaretha Teja Kusuma. The session on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, was conducted online via videoconference, while the remaining three sessions were held on-site in the classrooms of SMA Kristen Yusuf, Jakarta.

A total of 46 students from SMA Kristen Yusuf participated enthusiastically in the sessions. Participants not only learned the theoretical foundations of social media branding but also had hands-on practice using design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and Pacdora. The training was conducted in an interactive atmosphere, with students actively engaging in discussions and practice sessions. In the final meeting, participants were also given the opportunity to present and promote their creative works. This PKM activity serves as an academic implementation of the lecturers’ expertise, particularly from the Interactive User Interface Design and Personal Branding courses.
Based on the evaluation results collected through questionnaires, the program received highly positive feedback, with excellent ratings in educational value, objectivity, accountability, and transparency. Through this activity, Bunda Mulia University aims to continuously support the enhancement of quality, creative thinking skills, and to provide an early foundation for high school students in developing their creative and social branding competencies in the digital era.

Social Media Branding Training with Students from SMA Kristen Yusuf Jakarta
Jakarta, 5 November 2025 – Bagi generasi muda, khususnya siswa SMA, media sosial kini bukan hanya menjadi sarana hiburan, tetapi juga ruang untuk mengekspresikan diri, berkreasi, dan membuka peluang karier di masa depan. Program Studi Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV) dan Program Studi Desain Interaktif Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) kembali menunjukkan komitmennya dalam mendukung pengembangan potensi generasi muda melalui kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang diselenggarakan di SMA Kristen Yusuf, Jakarta.
Kegiatan bertajuk “Pelatihan Pengenalan Dasar Social Media Branding” ini dilaksanakan dalam empat sesi pada hari Rabu, tanggal 3, 10, 17, dan 24 September 2025. Kegiatan ini menghadirkan narasumber utama yaitu Ibu Thami Endamora Daulay, S.Kom., M.A. dan Ibu Aprilia Kartini, S.Pd., M.Sn., dosen dari Universitas Bunda Mulia, serta didampingi oleh dua mahasiswa dari Program Studi Desain Interaktif UBM, Rista Indri Yuliana Ambarita dan Margaretha Teja Kusuma. Kegiatan pada hari Rabu, 3 September 2025 dilaksanakan secara daring melalui videokonferensi, sementara tiga sesi berikutnya diselenggarakan secara luring di ruang kelas SMA Kristen Yusuf, Jakarta.
Sebanyak 46 siswa SMA Kristen Yusuf mengikuti kegiatan ini dengan antusias. Peserta tidak hanya mempelajari teori dasar social media branding, tetapi juga mendapatkan kesempatan untuk praktik langsung menggunakan software desain seperti Adobe Illustrator, Canva, dan Pacdora. Suasana pelatihan berlangsung interaktif, terlihat dari partisipasi aktif para siswa dalam sesi diskusi dan praktik. Pada pertemuan terakhir, para peserta juga diberikan kesempatan untuk mempresentasikan sekaligus mempromosikan hasil karya mereka. Kegiatan PKM ini merupakan implementasi keilmuan para dosen UBM, khususnya pada mata kuliah Interactive User Interface Design dan Personal Branding.
Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi melalui kuesioner, kegiatan ini memperoleh respon yang sangat positif, dengan penilaian tinggi pada aspek edukatif, objektif, akuntabel, dan transparan. Melalui kegiatan ini, Universitas Bunda Mulia berharap dapat terus mendukung peningkatan kualitas, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, serta memberikan bekal awal bagi siswa SMA dalam mengembangkan keterampilan kreatif dan social branding di era digital.
