On August 2, 2024, the Indonesian Finance Management Association (IFMA) held a seminar on Responsibility and Sustainable Finance. This event was conducted onsite at Universitas Negeri Jakarta and attended by over 20 participants from various universities across Indonesia. The Management Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus also participated in this event, represented by Mrs. Tannia SE., MM., the Head of the Management Study Program, and Mr. Alexander Robert, BA., MSc., a lecturer from the Management Study Program.
The event began with an opening speech from the organizing committee, who were the hosts, and was followed by a presentation by Prof. Bo Becker, the speaker for the seminar.
The seminar was divided into 2 sessions:
The speaker, Prof. Bo Becker, is the Head of the Finance Department at the Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden. He stated that understanding the meaning of sustainability is essential for many people to begin raising awareness about its importance and the significance of becoming sustainability investors who support sustainable companies for the continuity of the world. This was evident from the participants’ enthusiasm as they actively asked questions to the speaker.
It is hoped that the seminar, attended by the participants, will enhance the knowledge of the lecturers and generate better innovations, particularly in sustainability knowledge for the needs of the global industry and the uniqueness of the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia.
